tna-meet and your Google data
tna-meet is the meeting notes app from THENEWAGENT.AI, installed on your Mac. If you wish, you can connect your Google account to it. This section describes what tna-meet does with the data it receives from Google; the other sections of this policy cover this website.
Data read
- Your Google identity: email address, name and account identifier, to show the connected account and recognize it when you reconnect.
- The events of your account’s primary calendar that you own, from a few minutes before the current time to the end of the following week: title, times, status, identifiers of the event and of its series, organizer and participants (name, email address, response to the invitation) and type of video meeting (for example Google Meet), never its link.
- tna-meet never reads the description, location or attachments of your events, and never writes to your calendar. This data is read with your permission, read-only.
Why
This data is used only to suggest, when you record a meeting, its title and participants, which you confirm or correct, and to show your upcoming meetings so that you are reminded of them, can prepare them and get a summary of your day.
Where it is kept: on your Mac
- The authorization to access your account (token) is kept in your Mac’s Keychain; the temporary access token stays in memory.
- Your account’s address and name are kept in the app’s local database until you disconnect.
- The events read stay in memory and are never written to disk.
- When you confirm the suggestion for a meeting you record, its title and participants become information of that meeting, kept on your Mac for as long as you keep the meeting. tna-meet uses them, on your Mac only, to keep profiles of the people you meet and to remember the client linked to the domain of their addresses, so it can suggest it next time. The points you prepare for an upcoming meeting are linked to the event identifier and deleted when the app starts, 30 days after their last change.
What leaves your Mac, and where it goes
- To Google: only the requests needed to read your identity and your calendar.
- To THENEWAGENT.AI: no Google data and no content from your meetings. The app’s connections to our servers check the license and updates, with no identifier and no content.
- To the writing service you have chosen in the app, and only if you have chosen one:
- to write the notes or the recap of a meeting: its title and participants, when you took them from your calendar, together with the transcript and your notes;
- to answer your questions about your meeting notes: the titles of your meetings and excerpts of your notes, which may name their participants;
- for the summary of your day, a feature you can turn off: the time of your meetings of the day, their number of guests, whether there is a video meeting and the client they are linked to, never their title or participants.
This service can run on your Mac, on a server of your company or with an online provider; the app shows you where your data goes. An online provider processes this information under its own terms: with some personal subscriptions, it may use it to train its models if the matching option of your account is on, which the app tells you, along with how to turn it off.
Since THENEWAGENT.AI receives no Google data, it does not sell it, does not use it for advertising or to train an artificial intelligence model, and no member of its team reads it.
Removing access and deleting your data
- In the tna-meet settings (Général, then Agenda), the “Déconnecter” (Disconnect) button on the Google row deletes from your Mac the authorization kept in the Keychain, your account’s address and name, and the events in memory.
- Disconnecting does not remove the authorization at Google, so as not to cut access on your other devices. To remove tna-meet’s access to your Google account, open myaccount.google.com/permissions, choose tna-meet and remove its access. The app’s “Voir les autorisations du compte Google” (See the Google account permissions) button opens your account’s permissions page.
- Deleting a meeting in the app deletes the meeting and its files, including the title and participants you took from your calendar.
- To delete everything the app keeps on your Mac: disconnect your Google account, quit the app, then delete its data folder (~/Library/Application Support/com.thenewagent.tna-meet) and the folder where it stores your meeting notes.
Limited Use
tna-meet’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
